SEVERE: Student Exposure to Violence and Resilience

The SEVERE (Student Exposure to Violence and Resilience) Study aims to capture the types of violence college students in Pittsburgh experience and how these experiences affect their mental health and academic performance.

The study will recruit 250 students from the University of Pittsburgh to complete an online survey assessing victimization rates, anxiety and PTSD symptoms, and academic outcomes (e.g., GPA).

Specifically, SEVERE will:

2) Assess the impact of these experiences on academic functioning.
